Fabric performance
Discuss tensile or tear strength, abrasion, pilling, shrinkage and dimensional stability under applicable textile methods.
Fabric, garments, shoes and bags
Appearance inspection alone cannot determine colourfastness, shrinkage or chemical composition. YiwuQC can coordinate defined tests with an independent local laboratory competent in the relevant material and method.
Actual testing and original reports are provided by independent local laboratories, not YiwuQC. Appropriate accreditation, licensing or authorisation, test methods and availability are confirmed before each assignment.
Scope and methods
The test programme should match the material, intended use, buyer's specifications and destination market. Children's clothing, leather footwear, coated bags and ordinary adult garments may require different tests.
Discuss tensile or tear strength, abrasion, pilling, shrinkage and dimensional stability under applicable textile methods.
Tests may include washing, rubbing, perspiration or light exposure. The correct method depends on the fabric and intended use.
Possible methods include sole adhesion, flexing, stitching strength, component attachment and performance of coated materials.
Consider azo dyes, certain metals, phthalates, PFAS or flammability rules, including 16 CFR 1610 where applicable to US clothing textiles.
Prepare your brief
Share enough detail to select meaningful tests and representative samples.
Documents and responsibility
The laboratory issues its own result; YiwuQC coordinates the requested process.
Independent lab-confirmed sample quantity and testing methods
A laboratory-issued test report for defined performance or chemical attributes
Clear distinction between material results and YiwuQC's visual inspection findings
A passing fabric report might not cover other colourways, coatings, batches or components. A visual inspection and laboratory analysis answer different questions; neither is a guarantee of universal regulatory or retailer acceptance.

Buyer questions
No. Visual inspection cannot replace a defined colourfastness laboratory test with an appropriate method.
Not necessarily. Requirements depend on category, age group, market and applicable standards. The scope must be confirmed before testing.
Testing critical materials before full production may leave room for corrective action. Repeat evaluation can be needed if materials or processes change.
Independent laboratory testing enquiry
Send the product, destination market, requested standard, sample location and decision date. We can review whether a suitable independent laboratory with the required scope is available.
