Toy & Children's Product Testing in China
Toys and children's products may require mechanical, chemical, flammability and other safety testing. YiwuQC can coordinate a defined request with a suitable independent laboratory and organise the sample and report workflow.
Actual testing and original reports are provided by independent local laboratories, not YiwuQC. Appropriate accreditation, licensing or authorisation, test methods and availability are confirmed before each assignment.
Scope and methods
What can be tested?
Age grading, intended function, small parts, accessible materials and intended market determine the tests. For children's products subject to CPSC testing rules, laboratories must be CPSC-accepted for the specific applicable rules, not merely generally accredited.
Chemical restrictions
Select relevant lead, phthalate or other substance tests for applicable US, EU or buyer requirements and material types.
Flammability and special categories
Review age and product classification to determine whether particular flammability, electrical or other child-product rules apply.
CPC-related testing evidence
Coordinate reports and information that may support a Children's Product Certificate issued by the responsible manufacturer or importer.

Important limitation
YiwuQC is not a CPSC-accepted testing laboratory and does not issue its clients' CPC or GCC. The manufacturer or importer carries legal certification responsibility. A laboratory is acceptable for US children's testing only within its applicable CPSC-recognised scope.

Common questions about this testing scope
Is CNAS accreditation sufficient for a US toy CPC?
Not by itself. For mandatory US children's-product testing, the laboratory must be CPSC-accepted for each relevant rule in its recognised scope.
Can YiwuQC issue a CPC if the laboratory report passes?
No. The responsible manufacturer or importer issues the certificate based on qualifying evidence. YiwuQC can organise the laboratory testing and documentation workflow.
Can a prototype be tested before production?
Prototypes can provide development feedback, but final production changes, representativeness and mandatory certification testing must be evaluated by the responsible business.
